I Spent Tax Day at Rounders in Tuscaloosa ;)

Wow, April 15 was a whirlwind of a day. Jimmy had knee surgery early that afternoon in Huntsville. When he was out and in recovery, I headed down I65 to Birmingham to meet Debbie. Rachel and Seth took Jimmy home and looked after him until I got home the following day. Debbie and I had planned this trip prior to Jimmy scheduling the surgery, so we worked it out.

We headed out to Tuscaloosa in my vehicle, Debbie driving. I was pooped. Jane Bell and one of her friends rode with us. We arrived down there in plenty of time to get a park right in front of the bar! We went in, got a drink and sat. And waited. And waited. And waited. He was supposed to start at 9 or 10 and I don't think he got onstage until 11:30ish. I'm too old for that crap, but once Bo came out, I forgot how tired I was!

He did a fantastic show and he sang one of my favorite covers, "Shaky Ground". The college boys loved us older ladies and they were apt to come up, throw their arm around our shoulder and sway to the music at any time. I was very surprised to see that the bar is owned by some young guys from my hometown. Small world.

No meet and greet that night, but I did send Bo a little photo album full of pictures of him at Tin Pan South. I figured he might like to have them for keepsakes.

It was a good night. I'm sorry I cannot remember too many particulars; it's been a while and a lot has happened since then!!
