Monday's Memories

To start this off, I want to say that Bo's new calendar is just beautiful! It is very professionally done and you can tell a lot of thought was put into it. The usual holidays are noted, along with Bo's family members' birthdays and even Gracie and Sally have their birthdays on there! Song lyrics are at the bottom of each month and in addition to each month having a gorgeous color photograph, the days of the month are overlayed a black and white picture. Well worth the $15 + $5 shipping! It comes in a nice padded envelope and mine was autographed since I ordered it before January 15. I was so thrilled to get it today!

Now for the 2008 Stroudsburg show memories...

This was the second show in a double play that I attended in April. The first night was Atlantic City, then the next night was in Stroudsburg. It's a wonder we made it there because the highways in PA just do not like us!!

We did make it after a miraculous gate opening, and after a dinner with lots of friends, we headed down to the Sherman Theater. This time I had really good seats!

What a contrast this show was to the one the prior night! Atlantic City was Sex-On-A-Stick Bo; Stroudsburg was Family Man Bo. But both were great! There were several kids in the audience and it tickled Bo to death to see the young kids singing along with his music.

Afterwards a long line of people were waiting for Bo's meet and greet. Patrick told us he appreciated us waiting at the back of the line. I always do that. Let the new folks see him first, then he can see us at the end.

Bo made plenty of time for the Peeps. That night I had him sign a set list and what I thought was so funny is that right in the middle was the word "TALK". I asked him if he had to remind himself to talk!

A group who gives blood regularly in his honor presented him with an embroidered pillow. He was really touched by their gift and gave a sweet speech about his brush with death and how he would be happy singing for Him in heaven right now, but God wasn't through with him down here. For that I am very thankful! He is such a gift.

There are some who just don't get Bo. His music is his ministry. Oh yeah, he's hot. But he has a purpose beyond making all of us get weak in the knees! I love every facet of the man, from bad boy "Kevin" to the humble singer at New Hope church. He's a treasure.
