Another Monday's here

...and I'm at work. *sigh* Early this morning I took my Great Pyrenees to the vet. He's having problems with his skin. That is the sweetest dog on the planet. He rode in the front seat of the Tahoe, looking out the window, calm as a cucumber. He stood on the scales in the office without much coaxing, and when he entered the exam room he flopped down and laid his head down on his paws. He didn't yelp or wiggle or even move when they tested for worms and scraped his skin. The vet gave him a treat and it was hilarious because he wouldn't eat it out of his hand. He had to put it on the floor. I guess Austin didn't know him well enough to trust doing that. Turns out he has allergies and hookworms. Yummy. Doc sent enough worm medicine for the bassett and the pug, too. They all took it without much fuss.

I've worked all weekend to win over that silly little Quaker parrot that used to be my daughter's. He would bite me and anyone else who tried to touch him, but I've conquered him! He trusts me now and will "step up" on my hand and he doesn't bite anymore. Spunky Bogart is his name. I named him. Wonder where "Bogart" came from? ;)

This morning I also finalized plans to go to Nashville to see Bo. Well, it's actually a show for Kelleigh Bannen's 90 in 90 gig. Originally he was scheduled to perform 45 minutes. Now his website has announced he'll do a duet with her and the venue has taken his name off the billing. I wonder if he thought he was stealing her thunder. I'm sure he has gotten wind that a lot of us are coming to the show. Sometimes I wonder if he wishes he could escape the Peeps, even if for one night. He should know that wherever he is, there a Peep shall be also! God, I hope I never aggravate him. I've seen Peeps that aggravate him. He keeps his cool real well. There is NO WAY I would ever approach him. Heck, I'm nervous enough in a scheduled meet and greet. In Sellersville I was shaking in my boots and I had talked to him twenty-something times before! We'll see what happens...he'll probably stay hidden backstage.

Alrighty, that's about it for today. I have a little less than three hours left until I can go home. I'm watching the clock......!!
