Late Saturday Night

It's late and I just finished listening to a recording of Bo being interviewed on a show called Talking Pets. He talked about Sally, his bulldog, Gracie, he and Caroline's "first kid" and how he has three cats. They emphacized mainly his participation in CMT's Camp Nashville, a music camp for aspiring singers and musicians. Bo is a mentor and it's going to run May 21-25. It's very pricey- I forget exactly how much- but the people attending paid a pretty penny. He was asked the usual Idol questions about Carrie and questions about his upcoming Live CD, I Love The Road. It was a good interview. Bo always does good interviews because he's a regular little Chatty Cathy!

One thing he talked about was how the Peeps kept things going at bobice.com. I post there every day and I typically just read at other forums. The thing that saddens and sickens me is that Bo has fans who seem ashamed to go to his forum, make fun of the people who do, and are all frustrated with him when he pops in there. Give it a rest, people. If you don't like it, fine, but we're not all pearl-clutching, thin-skinned cultists who think he's Jesus II (or Besus as he's referred to by some). I choose to support Bo at his official site. You do what you have to do.

This week I'm going to Nashville to see Bo sing a duet with Kelleigh Bannen. He originally was scheduled to perform 45 minutes, but things changed. He's going to be in Alabama next weekend, but it's in Foley, which is 6 hours down the road. I don't think I'll be making that jaunt for a 30 minute performance. Nashville will be fun. There are going to be some people there that I haven't seen in a while and I'm really looking forward to it. We're only staying overnight, but I'm sure we'll have a great one!

In May I'm going to GA for a full Bo and S$ show. I can't wait, not only to see Bo, but to see his bassist, Luis Espaillat, whom I think is just a sweetheart. Maybe there'll be a chance to say hello. They are usually so busy breaking down everything that the guys don't have much time to chat. It's a pleasure when they do, though. Luis has been very kind to answer all kinds of bass questions that Jimmy has asked through me. My daughter thinks he's the hottest thing she's ever seen and he talked on the phone to her once. She was so funny! He intially left her a message, then she called me back screaming OH MY GOD!! He cracked up when he heard her, then took the phone and chatted with her a good little bit. She was thrilled to death! I'm posting the picture of Luis when he was talking on the phone with her. You can tell he thought her reactions were hilarious!

I still haven't made up my mind about the CMA festival. It will cost a LOT of money and vacation time. Bo hasn't announced any appearances yet but since he's officially joined their organization, surely he'll do something. Wish he'd hurry and let us know!
