Today was the Andy Griggs' fan club party. We got the tickets because it said it would give us a prime location for the poker tournament. We lined up at the side of the Cadillac Ranch and there were just a few people there. We were given tags and after a little discussion, some decided to go on to the riverfront and see Bo in the Outdoorsman Challenge. The rest of us went inside and there weren't hardly any people there! They had a delicious barbecue meal for us, then a lady approached us and told us she was Sharon, who does Bo's website. She told us that Bo was double-booked and that he wouldn't be playing poker, but that he said he was going to "move heaven and earth" to be there for the concert because he knew we had bought tickets. We stayed and listened to Andy do a short set and then got our pics made with him. Judy and I headed down to the riverfront to watch Bo and the rest of the girls decided to stay and watch poker.
Oh my, Bo was glorious shooting a gun, a bow and arrow, and casting his fishing line! We had such fun watching him. I told him, "Good job!" after he finished the bow and arrow thing and he laughed and said it's easier when it's not a moving target!

After the competition was over, Bo, Patrick and another guy came walking up the street. Bo waved and told us, "See ya'll later!"

Judy, Deb and I headed back to the Cadillac Ranch. They had said we could come in the side door and not have to go around front, that it would be fine since we had our Andy tags on. So up the stairs we went and who was standing there but Bo! Uh, we were a bit uncomfortable, but he just smiled and said, "It feels better in here, doesn't it?" We agreed and made our way out and downstairs to the poker game.

The other girls were there in seats and Sherry had saved us a place at the table, but there were no chairs. So Deb and I sat on the stage steps. Bo looked cute playing and he put $100 toward a skillet that the world's strongest redneck had bent.

Then it was time for the singing! They brought out four stools and one was right in front of me and Deb. We could reach out and touch it! Then guess who they seated on that stool??? He looked at us and said, "You two managed to get good seats!" Oh yeah, and we didn't even try! We told him we hoped we didn't embarrass him by screaming for him and he said he appreciated every one of us. He said what was embarrassing was his blistered neck. Good job sidestepping, Mr. Bice! LOL

Seated from left to right was Bo, Tracy Byrd, Andy Griggs, and Jeff Bates. They took turns singing with Bo starting it off with Long Road Back. Then the other guys' guitars wouldn't work, so they passed Bo's Baden back and forth. Bo also did Good Hearted Woman and Country. I loved watching the other musicians listening carefully to Bo and nodding their heads. I heard Tracy tell Bo, "Good job!" After Bo left they brought out Bryan White. I've always loved him. And they also brought out Trent Wilman.

After that was over, we opted to stay there at the Cadillac Ranch for the rest of the evening. We saw lots of sets, including Keni Thomas and Alan Gregory. Stephen Cochran did a set at 10:30 and then shortly thereafter we left. During Stephen's set this drunk guy got onstage dancing. It was hilarious! A big, burly security guard finally just stepped up there and looked at him and he got off of the stage.

This was another great day in Nashville!
